What is the BGMD Club?
The Black Girl Magic Day Club is a creative program designed to help girls build confidence, creativity, and leadership through art, discussion, mentorship, and positive community engagement.
Who can participate in the program?
Girls between the ages of 6 and 15 are eligible to participate in the BGMD Club Pilot Program.
How are participants grouped?
Participants are placed into age groups so activities are appropriate for their stage of development: Ages 6–8, Ages 9–11, and Ages 12–15.
What class can my child register for during the pilot program?
During the pilot program, the only class available for registration is the Arts & Crafts program.
Is the program in person or virtual?
The BGMD Club Pilot Program takes place virtually, allowing girls to participate from home while engaging with instructors and peers.
What supplies are needed for class?
Each participant will receive a BGMD Activity Kit Box that includes the materials needed for the program sessions.
When does the pilot program begin?
The BGMD Club Summer Pilot Program begins on Saturday, July 4.
What happens during the activity kit pickup?
Participants will receive their BGMD Club activity kit box. Short filming may also take place during pickup to document the program and support future storytelling, promotional materials, and grant opportunities.
How do I register my child?
Parents can register by completing the BGMD Club Registration Form on the website.
Will families receive more information after registering?
Yes. Families will receive additional communication before the first session, including class information, reminders, and important program details.
